Statement of evaluation- audiovisual:

Overall, I'm dissatisfied with the game's audiovisual components.

In regards to the sound, I actually am happy with the music, with the exception of the start menu music. I believe the music represents the game's frenetic pace rather nicely and makes the experience more engrossing.

The sound effects, on the other hand, need some work. Every scene except the dial has sound effects, but you can barely hear most of them. The key, button,  and chain minigames have sound, but unless you are actively trying to hear them, they are unnoticeable. In these games, the sound effects trigger when you complete the action, but the scene transitions before the sound effects can play. The baby and spray can minigames also have on-completion sound effects, but this is acceptable considering they have other sound effects that play during the game. I experimented with adding a delay at the end of the level, but I found it meddled with the game's pace. The delay was either too long to the point that it detracted from the fast gameplay, or too short to the point where the on-completion sound effects were jarringly cut off. I'll experiment with it more in the future, but considering this is the audiovisual presentation, I decided to play it safe by avoiding having the sound effects cut off.

In regards to the visuals, I'm not satisfied. I have never in my life even pretended that I have any artistic skill, which I believe is demonstrated in this project. I think all the sprites look passable, but they are not appealing. I created a sprite for the stove dial, but I couldn't get the sprite to turn properly, so I opted for the placeholder for this presentation.

I am undecided on whether I should alter the background. Right now, the background factors into the gameplay in that the background begins changing color when your score exceeds 30. That being said, I can't deny that having single-color backgrounds is drab.
